Back

We landed about 10pm last night back into San Diego. Matthew did good on the flights, and actually went to sleep last night after napping on the plane and slept until about 7 this morning.

I’m pretty irritated right now because not only did Jeremiah say he’d be home early, and now apparently he’s not (and there’s nothing decent to eat in this house since we emptied our fridge before we left for Vermont).. but then my “friend” sent me a text wondering if I wanted to go shopping, but I guess she was under the impression that I had my own car because when she realized she’d have to come get me, she bailed because all her shopping is where she lives. I drove all the way to boone-freaking-egypt to attend her baby shower and bought her presents but I guess her driving up here is too much.

Starting to wonder if there’s anyone decent left in this world. :/

Stress :(

vermont (42)

Great, thought today was gonna be okay, and now Jeremiah’s on the phone with the people from his work trying to get information on his orders. I’m gonna stress out so bad. I don’t want to move again, and I don’t want him to leave again.. and I don’t want to go through this year of school shit for him. I JUST WANT TO SETTLE DOWN.

I do need to remember to pick up some laptop memory for the Gateway when we get back to San Diego. I’m so tired of having to share a laptop just because the other one sucks. Woe is me.. I’m so spoiled.

Vermont!

So we really like it here. It’s beautiful. Aside from Jeremiah’s allergies that are killing him because his grandparents have not vacuumed their floors once since they bought their house up here 10 years ago. Ew. We’ve talked to some mortgage lenders and it sounds like something we could do in 5 years or so when Jeremiah gets out of the military. Of course, we’d have to have internet.. and this internet cafe thing isn’t working for me. Then, there’s the fact that there’s no cell service out here (Sorry, Sarah!) so I’d die. We’d have to move to a town like where we are now (Dover) where there’s cell service and you can get cable/DSL internet. I’d lose MY MINDDD.

This is lame

Trying to enjoy my vacation in Vermont. Of course I’m having a bit of trouble because this paid-blogging crap. Nobody will respond to my e-mails or messages. I set blackout dates during my vacation. Not only did they completely ignore that and continue to send me assignments, but now they won’t respond. Whatever, it’s crap.

So, in the spirit, I’ll BS it and say laughlin hotels, YAYY!!!

Anyways.

We’re leaving here on Wednesday. We’ll be home late Wednesday night and I’ll be up to my old shenanigans again. I hope nobody misses me too much. :)

OH, and HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all you moms out there.

Bad people

We’re in some town in Vermont right now.. We’re staying in Wardsboro, but today we’re taking a trip up to the Ben & Jerry’s factory outside of Montpelier. Jeremiah parked right in the middle of the town and we found a wireless network so we could use the laptop to check our stuff. His grandparent’s are watching Matthew while we take our little trip up here in their Chevy van. So, we checked the bank account and our e-mails, and now we’re off to head up to the factory. We stopped at a really beautiful waterfall on the way and took a ton of pictures. I can’t wait to have our own internet again and be able to upload them!

We are going to find some supposed internet cafe that’s around his Grandparent’s town tomorrow when we go to do laundry, so I’ll post again if that all works out. :)

New Camera!

Yes, you read it right. We got a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTI (did I type that all right?) We’re leaving for Vermont in the morning so hopefully in the next week we’ll have TONS of pictures.

We talked to Jeremiah’s friend, who is a futures broker, and that job just sounds smart so we figure he’s trustworthy. He has a Nikon D80 and knows a crap ton about cameras so he filled us in on everything, and we settled on that one. (plus, it was on sale!)

And if any are wondering.. did we have the money for this? Hell no, we’re bad people. We put it on a Best Buy credit card and are going to hell for it, too.

Havin’ a beer

We’re just sitting around waiting on Jeremiah’s friend, Brian, to show up. We rented a Rug Doctor the other day to clean our carpet and then basically cleaned his whole house (it was a disgusting MESS). He’s coming by to give us $20 bucks and grab something to eat. He’s a Marine and is under punishment for basically being a shitty Marine, so he gets off work around 4:30 and has to be back by 6pm to do cleaning duties. Sucks to be a slacker, huh?

We drove around a bit earlier.. Jeremiah picked up a rental truck this morning and had to drop off the Jeep at the dealership. They installed cruise control and it wasn’t working. Well, apparently there’s something wrong with the airbag that was keeping it from working.. now they can’t give us our car back because it’s a safety hazard, so they gave us a rental. Luckily we’re leaving tomorrow and it should be done by the time we get back. The rental truck is nice, but I’m sure it eats gas. It’s a lot like this one but with more chrome accessories. Pretty spiffy, but the interior smells really weird.

It Never Ends

As I mentioned the last few posts, I’ve been cleaning up the house. I started packing today for our trip to Vermont which we leave for tomorrow, and realized how many damn clothes I have. Most of them are either maternity clothes or pre-pregnancy shirts that just don’t fit me anymore. There’s even some dresses that I’ll probably never fit into, but they’re so pretty I can’t imagine getting rid of them.

So we’re packing and cleaning all day today, and we’ll probably go out for dinner tonight so I don’t have to cook and then clean the kitchen all over again. Traveling with a baby is NOT fun, especially since all the airlines stopped allowing 2 checked items per person. Now, they allow one per person.. but luckily Jeremiah is on leave orders, and Military personnel on orders can take two. So, we’re taking the stroller, carseat (with base hooked onto it) and one huge suitcase. All our crap is jammed in there pretty tight.. I hope we didn’t forget anything. :O

Cute *barf*

I look absolutely terrible in this picture, but it’s at least an okay picture of us. My mom took it on the day she left (she was staying here for a week). I’ll miss her, but it’s time she goes back home.. she needs to finish up some court stuff in Texas, then settle back in Oregon and get a job. She was taking care of her mom, but she unfortunately passed away. At least she wasn’t out of the workforce for long, and now she’ll have some income and insurance so that any health concerns that come up can be taken care of. She’s got pretty bad asthma so she needs to be able to get the medication for that. I tried talking her into doing something like medigap insurance but she decided to just wait until she gets a job. I, being a diabetic and all, understand how important health insurance can be. :O

I don’t think I’ve mentioned it, but we’re flying to Vermont on Wednesday to visit Jeremiah’s Grandparents, so they can see him and little Matthew. They haven’t met Matthew yet.. he’s their first Great-Grandson! So we’re leaving for a week, we’ll be back on the 14th. I’m going to try to find a local internet cafe of some sort, or go to Jeremiah’s other relatives house so I can still get online and post, but I probably won’t be on AIM or MSN too much for that week. It’s going to suck.. it’s some little podunk town there, and chances are we won’t have cell phone service either. :(

Cleaning

Ugh so one thing that comes with new furniture, is CLEANING CLEANING CLEANING! Our apartment isn’t really.. dirty? It’s just a mess. Our bookshelves are full of books, CDs, DVDs, papers, and random odds and ends. There’s baby stuff EVERYWHERE.. I dedicated one section of the new entertainment center just to store Matthew’s diapers and wipes and stuff. He’s 5 months old and already has toys EVERYWHERE. Maybe we spoil him.. who knows? :P

I went through one box and one bag of just random crap that was sitting in our kitching/dining area. It was basically full of a million safety pins, loose change, logo pens and hershey’s kisses that my mother in law gave me for valentines day that I never ate. It’s ridiculous how much stuff you can collect when you don’t have the balls to THROW THINGS AWAY.
